Miss Kelly grew up dancing at Step'N'Out Dance Studios since the doors opened in 2005 until 2014. She participated in as many classes as possible and was fortunate enough to be one of the first Student Instructors at the studio.
Kelly graduated from Hofstra University in December of 2018 with a dual degree of a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance.
Since graduating college Kelly has been teaching levels 4 & 5 of Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, and Ballet here at Step'N'Out.
Outside of the studio she works as a Health Fitness Assistant at a corporate gym and a Recreation Assistant at a health care center.
Kelly also trained with the Rockettes as part of their Rockettes Summer Intensive Program in July of 2013-2016.
Kelly is looking forward to classes this year and cannot wait to see her students show off what they've learned in the next show!
Miss Margo’s love of dancing was born here at Step'N'Out Dance Studios, where she took class in a multitude of styles for eleven years.
At age 17, she co-choreographed Norwalk High school’s production of Annie, which has gained over 200,000 views on YouTube and was featured on BroadwayWorld’s 2019 list of top ten shows for schools.
Margo graduated with honors from Muhlenberg College in May 2019, completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Dance.
In college, Margo studied Tap, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Musical Theatre, and Aerial Acrobatics, and was selected to perform a range of works by both faculty and guest artists. She was also chosen to join the Muhlenberg JazzTap Ensemble, a touring Tap group focused on community outreach in Pennsylvania Public Schools, under the direction of Shelley Oliver.
Margo spent Summer 2019 in Muhlenberg’s Professional Musical Theatre Company, where she played Angel Virtue in Anything Goes.
She is thrilled to be returning to her Step’N’Out Dance Family as faculty.
Larry Tomaselli (Mr T.)
Miss Shelby began teaching in the Norwalk area for about 8 years before
finding her home here at Step'N'Out.
Shelby graduated from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York,
where she received a B.A. in Dance and Theater with a concentration in
Dance Therapy. During her time at Manhattanville, Shelby studied various genres of dance. This included Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Contemporary/Lyrical, and was a President of Minds In Motion, one of the colleges’ dance teams.
Since joining the Step'N'Out family, Shelby has been teaching all levels of Hip Hop, Intermediate and Advanced levels of Contemporary, and a newly founded Adults Heels Class.
On the side, Shelby is choreographing for All Saints Catholic School’s
musical plays which have included Mary Poppins, Jr. and The Little Mermaid, Jr.
Shelby cannot wait to see all her students’ smiling faces as they take
the stage and show just how amazing they truly are!
Mr T. has been dancing Ballroom and Swing since 1961 when he was a 4th grade student with The Walter Schalk School of Dance. He continued to dance thru his sophomore year in college and was a student instructor for WSSD from 1964 thru 1970.
After his daughter Susan began dancing at The Walter Schalk School of Dance in the 3rd grade, Mr T. began teaching ballroom and swing classes again for WSSD as well as being the Stage Director for all the holiday and spring shows from 1993-2004.
"When Susan came to me in 2005 and said she wanted to start her own dance studio, I was all in. The chance of working with my daughter and her passion for dance was the chance of a lifetime. "
Mr T. teaches all of the Swing classes at Step'N'Out and is the Backstage Director for all of the performances.
Mr Mikey’s love for Dance developed in high school. He was involved with Versus Dance Crew for over 2 years, with whom he performed in school shows as well as opening performances.
Mikey grew up practicing Parkour and Gymnastics on his own time and became a Parkour and Gymnastics instructor outside of the studio.
Mikey teaches our Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Tumbling classes, Boys Intermediate and Advanced Hip Hop classes and a High School Advanced Hip Hop Class as well. He has also started a Step'N'Out Adult Hip Hop Class.
He cannot wait to see what the new semester will bring for his students.
Mr Pete has been studying dance since 1995 and Martial Arts since 1991. He has a foundation in Classical Ballroom, and has been teaching Breakdance with Step'N'Out since 2006.
Pete received a Bachelors degree in Professional Writing from Western Connecticut State University in 2008 and a Masters degree from Sacred Heart University in Secondary English Education in 2011.
Pete works as a high school English teacher and is currently pursuing a second certification in Special Education.
Pete loves teaching new and returning students alike at Step'N'Out and is always looking to expand his classes.
Miss Sabrina grew up dancing with the Step'N'Out family since they opened in 2005. With her main focus being Ballet, she expanded her studies to several studios in the area including The Connecticut Ballet, Westport Academy of Dance, and Ballet Etudes. Along with dancing on Pointe for 6 years, she has studied Lyrical, Modern/Contemporary, Swing, and Tap.
In 2015, Sabrina left Norwalk to earn her Bachelors Degree in Visual Arts with a Minor in Business at SUNY New Paltz, where she danced on the Warriors Dance Team for two semesters.
Sabrina is more than happy to be back at Step'N'Out and is so excited to see her Pre-Pointe and Pointe classes increase their strength and technique.
