Listed below are the classes that are available to students from ages 3-18. Please read through each one to see which one appeals to your dancer.
Break Dance (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
Break is a style of Dance that involves rapid acrobatic moves in which different parts of the body touch the ground; normally performed to upbeat music.
Contemporary (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
Contemporary is a style of dance that incorporates techniques such as contact-release, floor work, fall and recovery and improvisation. Contemporary originated in the middle of the 20th century and varies its style through each teacher and choreographer.
Modern (Levels 3, 4, 5)
Modern is a free, expressive style of dancing started in the early 20th century. there are various styles of modern but we focus on many tribal and African pieces and are heavily influenced by Martha Graham, Jose Limone, and Doris Humphrey
Ballet (Levels 1, 2, 3 , 4, 5)
Ballet is a classical dance form demanding grace, poise, precision and technique to express perfection through the movement of the body.
Pointe (Pre-Pointe, Pointe)
En pointe (Pointe) means "on the tips of the toes" and is a part of classical ballet techniques made possible by specially reinforced shoes called pointe shoes or toe shoes. PLACEMENT INTO POINTE CLASSES ARE MADE BY MISS STEPHANIE. Pointe dancers are required to have at least 4 years of consecutive Ballet training and be at least 13 years of age to be considered for the class.
Hip Hop (Beginner, Intermediate 1& 2, Advanced 1& 2)
Live inside the music not with the music. Dancing to the genres of music that include rap, hip-hop, R&B, reggae pop and so much more! Hip Hop is moving your body, popping into place, locking your positions and rolling with the beat of music, get ready to get your hip hop on!
Jazz (Levels 1, 2, 3 , 4, 5)
Jazz is a dance form of dance that is matched to the rhythms and techniques of jazz music.
Tap (Levels 2, 3 , 4, 5)
Broadway style tap is performed wearing shoes fitted with metal taps, characterized by rhythmical tapping of the toes and heels.
Lyrical (Levels 2, 3 , 4, 5)
Lyrical combines elements of technique used in classical ballet but adds the expressiveness, fluidity and freedom encompassed in Jazz and Contemporary. Each lyrical dance conveys a meaningful story by following the lyrics of the song.
Swing (Swing Kids, Middle School, High School)
Swing is a class of couples dancing. It involves Broadway production type dancing as you would see in a Broadway musical.
Tumbling (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
Flip'N focuses on the tumbling and acrobatic skills you see in gymnastics on the floor apparatus. The skills learned are geared more towards the ability to add such skills into a dance routine.
